Superstar Rajinikanth has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai, where the 73-year-old actor's condition is reported as "stable." He was taken to the hospital on Monday night after experiencing stomach pain, according to a hospital source.

The actor, who recently appeared in Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer, is scheduled to undergo an elective procedure performed by interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish in the cardiac cath lab on Tuesday. Fans and well-wishers are anxiously awaiting updates on his health.

Rajinikanth, affectionately known as “Thalaivar,” is one of the most celebrated and influential figures in Indian cinema.
